City Grill Express

Forget McDonald's and Burger King, if you want classic American fast food in St. Petersburg, City Grill is the place to go. Unlike the big chains, this simple burger bar just off Nevsky Prospekt has really meaty burgers and chicken that's recognizable as part of a bird in its buns. The buns, too, are crisply toasted.

City Grill is a recent addition to the city, and has a prime location just round the corner from St. Petersburg's main bar and club area, meaning that it can get very crowded in the evenings. There's a huge range of burgers with different sauces and toppings (28 in total), all of them tasty and cooked in front of you (which does mean it's not the fastest of fast food). Most surprisingly, City Grill is also considerably cheaper than its rivals. And they play classic rock 'n roll on the stereo.
