This traditional fine dining restaurant has an international reputation thanks to excellent write ups in several guide books and even an appearance in a book called 1000 Places to See Before You Die. The main attraction is the setting, as the restaurant occupies what was once the Garden Pavilion in the grounds of the Yusupov Palace, with elegantly restored interiors featuring antiques and historic artworks. The kitchen serves traditional Russian and European dishes, with some dishes cooked according to recipes preserved from the Yusupov household, as well as some more contemporary additions.
Unfortunately, the consensus is that the food at the Noble Nest, while competently prepared, does not really live up to the prices (the cheapest set menu is $100 without wine). You can certainly find better value elsewhere.
