Opened in 1995 along the Fontanka Embankment, La Cucaracha is the oldest Mexican restaurant in Saint Petersburg. It has a festive atmosphere with live Latin music most evenings, cheerfully colored walls, and decorative sombreros and pottery. A variety of traditional Mexican and Latin American fare is served, including many spicy dishes. The restaurant also offers an extensive tequila menu.
