The main attraction of this well-known restaurant near the Academy of Arts on Vasilevskiy Island are its striking interiors, which combine traditional Russian folk themes with Soviet grandeur, garish fabrics and a lot of gold paint. The effect is somewhat overwhelming, but certainly has its appeal. The menu combines dishes from Russia and other former Soviet republics with pasta and other standard "European" fare. The restaurant organizes parties at weekends.
