Opened over a decade ago, Shinok is a popular venue for tour groups and corporate parties, with fancifully decorated rustic interiors, wait staff in traditional Ukrainian costume, and regular live folk music. The food is hearty, heavy on meat, mushrooms, berries and potatoes, and all of reasonably high quality. Portions are large, and the range of vareniki (traditional boiled dumplings) is excellent.
