Local Sightseeing
The 3MostA Hotel is in the very heart of St. Petersburg's historic centre, and nearly every building in the immediate vicinity is of interest to visitors. The most prominent landmark, the Church of Our Saviour on the Spilled Blood, is perhaps the most famous religious building in St. Petersburg, a riotously decorated Russian Revival church built on the site of the assassination of Tsar Alexander II.The hotel takes its name ("most" is the Russian for bridge) from a triptych of elegant historic bridges - Maly Konyushenny Bridge, Teatralniy Bridge and a "false" bridge - at the confluence of the Griboedov Canal and the Moyka River.
It is only a short walk from the hotel along Millionaya Ulitsa to Palace Square, where guests will find Rastrelli's magnificent Winter Palace, housing the world famous Hermitage Museum. Even closer to the hotel, the late-18th century Marble Palace is one of the most beautiful in the St. Petersburg. Built by Antonio Rinaldi for Count Grigory Orlov, it now houses part of the State Russian Museum collections.
The main collections of the State Russian Museum, one of the world's leading collections of Russian art, are also within five minutes' walk of the 3MostA Hotel in Carlo Rossi's sublime Mikhailovsky Palace. Behind the palace, and literally a few steps from the hotel, the Mikhailovsky Garden and the Field of Mars are two of St. Petersburg's most beautiful green spaces, on either side of the Moyka River.
