Nearest metro: Obvodny Kanal
The AlexanderPlatz Hotel is located in the south-east of St. Petersburg's city center, in a fairly drab area that was once heavily industrialized.The nearest metro stations to the hotel, Ligovsky Prospekt and Pushkinskaya, are both around 15 minutes' walk away, while there is a reasonably wide range of bus services running up Ligovsky Prospekt (about 100m from the hotel) to Ploshchad Vosstaniya and Nevsky Prospekt. This means that St. Petersburg's major attractions such as the Hermitage and St. Isaac's Cathedral can in fact easily be accessed in less than 30 minutes.
Moskovsky Station is around 2km from the hotel, and can be reached by car in 10-20 minutes. Vitebsky Station (which serves trains to Belarus and the Baltic States) is even closer, less than 10 minutes' drive away. Ladozhsky Station is 20-30 minutes' drive away across the Neva River.
Pulkovo-2, St. Petersburg's international airport, is around 14km from the AlexanderPlatz Hotel, and the drive to/from the airport will not take much more than 30 minutes in normal traffic conditions. Pulkovo-1, the domestic terminal, is a further 2km out of the city.
