The Crowne Plaza St. Petersburg Airport Hotel is the first hotel to open at Pulkovo Airport, and is located around 300m from the exit of the international terminal Pulkovo (LED). Beyond the obvious convenience for air travellers, the Crowne Plaza is also reasonably well served with amenities, with a large 24-hour supermarket and shopping and entertainment centre less than five minutes' walk away.The hotel offers free shuttle bus services to both terminals at Pulkovo Airport. To reach the city centre, guests can either book taxis or use public buses and marshrutka minibuses from outside the airport arrivals lounge to reach Moskovskaya Metro Station (10-15 minutes in clear traffic). From there it is less than 20 minutes on the metro to reach Nevsky Prospekt Metro Station in the very centre of St. Petersburg.

Standing right next to Pulkovo International Airport, the Crowne Plaza St. Petersburg Airport Hotel is some distance from St. Petersburg's most famous downtown visitor attractions. However, guests can take advantage of the hotel's location to reach the famous Imperial parks and palaces to the south of the city.Tsarskoye Selo (Pushkin), which is around 10 km from the Crowne Plaza, is a world-renowned visitor attraction thanks to its beautiful grounds and Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli's sumptuous Catherine Palace, with its famous Amber Room. Pavlovsk, although less well known outside Russia, was the suburban estate of Tsar Paul I and has an impressive neoclassical palace set in an English-style landscape garden.
At the centre of Ploshchad Pobedy, which is around 2.5 km from the hotel and marks the entrance to the city of St. Petersburg, is the magnificent Monument to the Heroic Defenders of Leningrad, a panoramic sculptural ensemble with a towering obelisk in the middle at the point where Soviet troops stopped the German advance on the city. Underneath the monument is a museum detailing the city's wartime history.
