On the corner of Nevsky Prospekt and Mikhailovskaya Ulitsa, the Grand Hotel Europe is superbly situated for sightseeing, business and shopping, just a few minutes' walk from Palace Square and the State Hermitage, and right in the middle of the bustle and boutiques of Nevsky Prospekt.

The nearest metro station, the Nevsky Prospekt/Gostiny Dvor interchange, is under five minutes' from the hotel. Moskovskiy Station is a little over a kilometer away down Nevsky Prospekt, and can be reached in less than 10 minutes unless traffic is very bad. Other mainline stations are all within 30 minutes' drive of the hotel.

To reach the Grand Hotel Europe from Pulkovo-1 and Pulkovo-2 Airports will take 30-40 minutes by car.
Local sightseeing
Almost all St. Petersburg's major tourist attractions are within comfortable distance of the Grand Hotel Europe. The State Hermitage Museum, housing one of the world's greatest art collections, is under 10 minutes' walk from the hotel on Palace Square.

St. Petersburg's second most famous museum, the State Russian Museum, with its unparalleled collection of Russian national art, is even closer to the Grand Hotel Europe, with the main collection housed in Mikhailovsky Palace, just behind the hotel on Ploshchad Iskusstv - Arts Square.

Also on Arts Square, a beautiful public space designed in the main by Carlo Rossi, the St. Petersburg Philharmonia, home to the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, is one of the finest classical music venues in the city. Next door, the Mikhailovskiy Theatre is second only to the Mariinsky for live opera.
