Local Sightseeing
Thanks to its good public transport links, all of St. Petersburg's major visitor attractions are easily accessed from the Guyot Hotel. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel on Aptekarsky Island, the city's Botanical Gardens have a remarkable collection of flora, particularly considering the northern climate, and provide a pleasant setting for a stroll. The same is true of Kammeniy Island, which can be reached in about 15 minutes' walk from the Guyot Hotel. Once the site of St. Petersburg's most exclusive dacha colony, it still has several streets of beautiful villas and a couple of architecturally interesting historic churches.
Moving close to the city centre along Kamenoostrovskiy Prospekt, visitors will find the Alexander Park around Gorkovskaya Metro, St. Petersbueg's impressive Mosque, and the Peter and Paul Fortress.
