Pleasant hotel on Nevsky Prospekt…
I generally liked this hotel and the location right on the main street made it very convenient. A subway station was next-door and a bus stop to the Hermitage was across the street. On the last day we walked to the railway station to go to Moscow as the station was only 2-3 blocks away.
Our 'designer room' was not huge, but still reasonably spacious, well-equipped and with good bathroom (important!). The staff was very attentive and helpful and the room was always cleaned thoroughly. Breakfast was nice and with good selection. We mostly ate in town rather than at the hotel, so I only had dinner at the hotel's in-house restaurant once. The food was tasty and well-presented.
I did not find any major faults, except for the front door which very annoyingly opened inwards, rather than outwards. I always thought that front doors should open outwards for safety reasons… Otherwise, a very lovely hotel…
