Work visit to St Petersburg (couldn't think of a better title, sorry!)

This is a very sound quality modern hotel with less-than-stellar, but still convenient location. It is not walkable to major attractions, but there happens to be a convenient underground (metro) link. The hotel is close the airport, but not too close, so there is no noise from planes. The room was warm (I came in early winter) and well-appointed. The public areas were a little too big to my taste, but the hotel had a few restaurants (one with on-site brewery and one Japanese) and a lobby bar to lighten up my winter evenings. :) I was there on my work assignment and spent only one Saturday afternoon sightseeing at a suburban former royal mansion. Yet, I went to the city centre on a few occasions and that was fun.
