Italian Institute of Culture in St. Petersburg
Housed in the same building as the consulate, the Istituto di Cultura is the official promoter of Italiand culture in St. Petersburg. Its activities include coordinating Italian-language courses and international exams, organizes festivals and events, and offers a library (the Mediateca) where members can find a large collection of Italian books, films, and CDs as well as online resources including subscriptions to major Italian newspapers and journals.
Societa Dante Alighieri
This international society was founded to promote Italian language and culture throughout the world. In St. Petersburg, they organize Italian-language courses in the city and coordinate PLIDA exams, as well as hosting lectures and presentations on all aspects of Italian culture.
Centre of Italian Language and Culture
Part of the Derzhavin Institute, a prestigious Russian-language school, this centre offers Italian courses in St. Petersburg and in Italy, and organizes a variety of cultural events in conjunction with the Italian Institute of Culture.
