Russian visas in the UK

Since December 2014, the UK has unfortunately become one of the hardest places to get a Russian Visa, in that every applicant now has to visit one of the UK's two Russian Visa Centres (see location details below) to give their fingerprints and submit their visa application in person. It is no longer possible to apply for any type of Russian visa by post or via an agent. The justification for this is that Russian citizens have to endure the same requirements to apply for a UK visa.

Extra requirements:

NB: Detailed below are extra requirements for your country. To see the full list of required documents, view our full Russian visa guide.

The main extra requirement is, as stated above, that you have to visit the Russian Visa Centre in either London or Edinburgh in person to apply for any type of Russian visa. Be aware that, if you are self-employed or unemployed (or a company director), you will need to submit bank statements for the last three months along with your application, with the balance of your account showing that you have at least £100 for each day of your proposed trip to Russia.

Where to apply?
