The French supermarket chain Auchan first made its way to Russia in 2002. Since then the company has opened locations in over 20 Russian cities, with 8 Auchan stores in St. Petersburg. Although most stores are far from the city centre, they are worth seeking out for inexpensive wine and Auchan's own-brand French groceries.
