Red Sails firework show
Celebrated in June at the height of the White Nights, Alye Parusa ("Red Sails") is a celebration for school leavers dating back to the 1960s. It has become one of St. Petersburg's most popular public events, culminating every year with a spectacular firework and light display over the Neva River to accompany the passing of a tallship with rust-red sails.
