History Hotel on English Embankment in St. Petersburg

Spectacularly located on the bank of the Neva River, within walking distance from the Hermitage Museum and many tourist attractions, History Hotel on English Embankment offers quality 3-Star Rooms and pleasant atmosphere. Although the original decor of the mansion of Duchess Ekaterina Dolgorukova (Yurievskaya) did not survive the turbulent 20th century, one can still see the scale of the impressive house of the second wife of Emperor Alexander I.

The standard rooms are quite modern, while the suites still retain the old-fashioned decor but are exceptionally spacious. Guests of the History Hotel are welcome to take advantage of the hotel's extended continental breakfast in the mornings, while the airy Atrium lounge is open to guests throughout the day. In the absence of a lift/elevator the hotel cannot be recommended for guests with limited mobility, but for the rest of the visitors the occasional use of stairs may add to the historic charm of the hotel.

Because St. Petersburg attractions and scenic views are right at its doorstep, the History Hotel on English Embankment is a great choice for budget-conscious tourists visiting the city.
