The aptly named History Hotel is a great to soak up St. Petersburg's atmosphere, housed in a beautiful neoclassical mansion next to the famous Lion Bridge, less than five minutes' walk from the Mariinsky. The name could equally apply to some (although not all) of the hotel's rooms, which hark back a couple of decades in terms of decor and furnishings. That said, the History Hotel does provide clean and inexpensive standard accommodation, with facilities including complimentary Wi-Fi throughout, a sauna, and basic meeting facilities. »»»
